Located at the 72nd floor of the Swissotel Stamford ,New Asia Bar is part of the Equinox entertainment complex. It offers uninterrupted views of the glistening lion city, harbor and waterfront right up to the islands of Pulau bin. The place had fantastic pink and burgundy decor with wall to wall pristine glass windows. There is an intimate upper storey where the tables are wedged right into the glass and its definitely not for those with vertigo :). I sipped a mango and peach martini while admiring the lit Merlion and the Fullerton hotel, followed by a lychee champagne spritzer settling right into the slick atmosphere and breathtaking views of Singapore!
The evening was just warming up and we headed to Brewwerkz to sample some home brews and also to indulge a friend who is a staunch beer fan .This was followed by a quick dinner at Billy Bombers though we couldn't but help make a stop at Bar Iguana. In our defense they serve enchanting margaritas in these bucket sized glasses. Now no one would want to miss that!:D
Eager to explore some more, we proceeded next to the much hyped Ministry of Sound located at Clarke Quay. Its quite an interesting venue divided into four different spaces, each playing a specific genre of music from progressive house, trance, hip hop to country and desi tunes! So one is at a liberty to find their niche or experience a little bit of everything that’s on .The bar tender effortlessly awed us with the flaming Lamborghini and Jaeger bomb tricks as he spun, toppled and served our drinks with practiced ease. And Panache! Not to mention I was in a state where I was impressed easily of course:) Its all about leaving your troubles behind isn't it!
